Hello, if you have mostly unsecured debt - credit card - it's not hard to find help.
You can choose between credit counseling or debt settlement. The previous posts
are correct - get your total amount of debt owed - as enrollment into those
programs is based on your account status and debt amount
Settling debt for less than amount owed - if this happens, know that the IRS would
consider it an income, so don't forget to report it on your return as such - to avoid
penalties.
