Renting is a better idea, but if you can go with borrowing from your close friends, I don't think they would mind lending you their extra gowns. I usually borrow from a friend who is not related to the party I am going to. It helps to have different circles of friends hehe
I think you should start to budget the money you get first, make sure that you save at least 10% of what you are receiving. If you find out that what you get is not really enough to enable you to save, then that is the time you should start looking for extra sources of income

I don't really have much of a problem about paying on time, i think its more on having enough money to pay the debts when they are due so i guess the last tip is the one right for me. I really need to find ways to earn extra money
