Lump Sum Payments

I'm sorry - I guess I'm not following the question. I thought you meant 50% of the lump sum of the total owing, which I thought would be a positive step in the right direction. But do you mean 50% of the minimum payment? That would be a less desirable situation, I'm sure.

What to Pay First?

I tend to agree with the posters who suggest that the "squeaky wheel" should get the grease first. I'd also add that the order of payment could differ if one or two creditors were more flexible or more understanding of late payments - Obviously they could move down the priority list a little...
