Secured cards are great, but make sure that they are issued by a reputable institution. If there are any activation fees, membership fees on top of your deposit, then avoid it. Check your local institution for a viable secured card.
Wow.. that is amazing and inspiring. We need to hear more sucess stories like that. For me it is about blogging it, not that anyone reads it. However, it gives me a little boost when I go back and read my entries to see my progress.

My original plan was two years, but now it is three years because I do not have the extra to put down monthly like I was doing. However, upon talking with my financial advisor (thank you buddy!) I freed up some cash to put towards the debt.
On the contray, the government is doing EVERYTHING they can to keep us in debt.
