My husband and I both smoke, and we have cut back a lot. Yes, it is an expensive habit, but one we are just not quite ready to give up completely. We know that we would save a lot of money if we quit, but right now, we would rather cut back slowly than try to quit cold-turkey.

Unfortunately, there can still be charge offs on your credit report even if you have paid the account in full. Sometimes, the agencies aren't very good with their records.
I am glad that I read this. I will have to share it with people I know who are rally struggling with collections. It is a horrible feeling to have when you just cannot pay the bill.
