I've seen people spend in ways that I didn't think were wise. Some of my in-laws seem to trade vehicles on a whim, in my opinion. If I've had a particulary busy time with good earnings, I may be inclined to spend a bit more on something that I think is worthwhile.

Unfortunately, many of the people I know have similar obsessions.  It seems like dvds, cds, and games are popular items to spend money on, plus there are all kinds of collectibles.  None of these things are useless, per se, but many people buy these, and other things, when they're already deep into debt.

Yes, I've heard of it and it even has a fancy name that escapes me at the moment. It's kina like people eating too much. If you are on great terms with the lady, maybe you can help counsel her. She might listen to a family member versus a professional counselor.

Hmmm i guess we spend alot and the media is to blame during tv commercials companies try to convinc3e us to spend money on this gadget or a toy for the little ones. When indeed its nothin we need but we want. We all want out there but when we try to budget our money we have to leave that want aside and just stick to our needs.
