Insurance Review

Do you review your insurance needs annually to see if you need more or less coverage or to examine whether or not you should adjust your deductibles?  I have to admit I'm guilty of being lax in this area.  The policies get filed, and I don't give them another thought.  Something to work on!

I don't do it every year, but one thing I've noticed on the house and car insurance is it always starts out low and creaps up a little every 6 months.  3-5 years down the line you're paying way more than you should.  I'm pretty sure they start low and work up with everyone because most people will just assume all insurance is going up and not shop around again.  That hasn't been the case in my experience.  I go switch my insurance every few years just to get it back down to a reasonable rate.

I don't review it every year either, but there have been times in the past where I scaled it back. I think at the moment we have pretty realistic insurance coverage.
