We're nearing the end of 2007, and soon many people will start contemplating resolutions for 2008.  Losing weight is always a popular resolution; unfortunately, the resolution is often followed by the purchase of exercise equipment, often financed or put on a credit card.  Why not look in your classified ad section or go to a thrift store first to see if there are low cost alternatives to high retail prices.  Many cities now offer second hand sporting goods shops, which have quality used exercise machines.  Hopefully you can find an exercise machine that will help you achieve both your physical and financial goals.

You can also try freecycle.org.  Exercise equipment is a hot item there and you can't beat free.

So true, free is a hard price to beat. Also true is the fact there are second hand outlets for exercise equipment. If we have one here, I'm sure cities of similar size, about 250K, also have one.

Good luck in finding one.
