I'm not sure which type of insurance you are saying should be open in the name of the old person. Generally, an applicant has to qualify for insurance. If they are old, that doesn't disqualify them but it does mean a higher premium. If you are talking about life insurance, the premium would probably be prohibitive or close to. If you are talking medical insurance, there usually isn't any included death benefit. Something to ponder, right?

If I'm not mistaken, to purchase for the premium will be higher according to your age. So, if we buy for parent will be more than for ourself who younger than them. But I'm not very sure. Do someone can explain more details on this?

Its a useful idea but i don't think we good be able to get a good package of insurance over the older person. It will be good idea to have an life insurance during their middle ages and surely it would help for themselves as well for the family concern.
