Cell Phone Charges

This isn't truly a debt-related post, but it is something that could easily turn into debt if a person isn't careful.  I always monitored my cell phone usage, but last month I had a lot of people calling in and didn't realize how long some of the conversations had been.  My bill, which is normally around $45 ended up being $149.  Needless to say, I almost fell over.  At first I didn't believe it, but when I looked at the list of calls, the information was accurate.  This just goes to show that a person has to be super vigilant when using a cell phone with a limited minutes plan, or the savings you got by going with such a plan can be wiped out in a month.

well when i`m talking on my cell phone i always check my remaining minutes. The recalculation isn`t done in real time...it has a couple of hours delay but i do it myself...i see how much i have spoken and then i look at how many minutes i have left...and this way i never end up with a giant bill.

That is really a big concern i tell you.. I used to have a cellphone plans and always think i didn't used up all those free calls and sms yet. Bt when monthly bills come i end up paying way than my plans original payments. That is why i cut it down and use a pre paid plans now in that way i get to control the bills.

Ehm. Its fine with me because i'm using prepaid. NOt using line or any plan for cell phone. Its good and my bills always below $20. Its fine and i'm happy with my cell phones bills. Its not high and i still can pay it. :D

Before I used to get ruined up with phone bills.  About one year ago I used to buy mobile recharge cards worth $10 after every 5 days. But now I have found out a cheap Mobile service, so that I can save my Mobile bills and use that extra money in some other good work.

Of course it can get a bit irritating but I prefer the limited prepaid plan just for that reason. I have a friend who has his regular plan running him $160/mo just for his phone but on average his bill comes to closer to $300 because he does not pay attention just like they want you to.

That is why I switched from monthly plan to prepaid card. When you are on the phone, you won't know how fast time flies. This  couldn't come truer for those lovebirds.
