What Helped Me Change My Thought Theology

When I was deep in debt, I started asking myself  how did I get this way. Heck, I had credit cards in my pocket and not debt cards. It wasn't supposed to be this way. I had all that credit.

As I looked over my statements, it dawned on me. The credit grantors were calling it credit but in reality it was debt. I had charged myself into a hole. So if my thoughts were correct, and I didn't use my credit, I couldn't incur any more debt.

I did not use my credit for a month and sure enough I didn't add to my debt burden except for the interest added to my balance. Not to bore anyone to tears with my sad experience, let me finish this with credit is simply a misspelling of debt. If people look at it that way, they might not get in too far.

I don't think having the credit available is necessarily a bad thing, just using (usually) it is.  So perhaps you could say consider your 'credit limit' to be a mispelling of 'debt limit'.
