via http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/settlement/nationaldebtrelief-company.htmlHere are some observations made by the consumers about National Debt Relief.
- NDR failed to stop collector calls: According to some customers who have taken their services, the settlement company was unsuccessful in putting a stop to creditor/collector calls.
- Don't begin negotiation immediately: According to some, the settlement company wouldn't begin negotiation with the creditors until the customer deposits enough fund in his account. They would first take their fees before they would compensate the creditors.
- Misjudged as Government agency: Some customers have further misjudged NDR as a government organization. However, the company bears no connection whatsoever with the National Debt Relief Stimulus Plan which is a government-backed program offered to those who are struggling to pay their bills. Know more...
Anyway, consumers must research on this company before joining their program. They should check the licensing status of the company along with charges before enrolling in the National Debt Relief Program.

Lesson learned here is, if ever a consumer is in need of debt relief,he should be the one to seek it out, and not the other way around. Speaking of which, debt relief (for unsecured debt) can becredit counseling or debt settlement. Both can be done d-i-y or professionally.
