what is that debt relief by oprah? -- I was just reading through the comments, and singled this one out,
Oprah, I have look at your debt diet plan and I do unstand how it should work. How can this plan work when the bills are still coming and my income has not increase? I have not made any new bills. I have no extra funds to pay off a bill. The concept to paying the minimum on one bill and more on another bill to pay off the highest bill and work yourself down and soon all bills will be paid off. I still do not not have the more income to do any of this priorting. Thanks Needing Help

debt relief by oprah, it says on the site: America—it is time to get rid of your debt! Financial experts David Bach, Jean Chatzky and Glinda Bridgforth offer their step-by-step action plan to help set you on the path to financial freedom. I think they're pretty honest with that diet plan, only, it may not be for everybody...or for many, especially the desperate. Those that are really undergoing hardship. Debt diet plans sound like they're more for people with spending problem and not for those who are really drowning in debt.

I agree with Wendie, for those consumers who are needing hardcore debt relief - or debt relief with a touch of urgency in it, they can choose between the debt settlement or credit counseling programs. Both can be done d.i.y or via the professionals. How would you know which program is for you? By your debt amount and account status. If your debt is high, $10k and above, and your accounts are mostly past due, try debt settlement. If it is lower than that, and your accounts are still current, go with credit counseling.

I saw a couple of episodes of Oprah dealing with debt in the past with guest author Suze Orman and they're pretty good. She also has books about it if you're interested in d.i.y. debt relief, that is. If however, you dont' have the time and the patience to do it yourself, please feel free to fill out a form here at destroydebt.com, avail of the free consultation, and should you decide that professional debt settlement makes sense for you, also get matched up to a legitimate company - free of charge.
