I'm confused, I got this from another thread"New Beginnings debt settlement LLC is a member of the BBB and have an A rating. They are also members of USOBA. They are certainly one of the higher rated settlement companies out there. "What does it mean?

I'm not sure what it means, but if I were the one looking for a debt settlement company,I think I'd go for one that doesn't have that much complaints. To each his own though. Why not head on over to the TASC directory list, select several companies, and call them one by one?http://www.tascsite.org/index.cfm?event=Members

And if you're wondering about what to look for in a legitimate debt settlement company -The settlement company's program must have a fast completion time. 12-36 months. -The program must be able to protect and improve the consumer's credit standing. -Must be a member of the Better Business Bureau, BBB, for at least 5 years. -Must also have a good standing with the Chamber of Commerce -A Member of TASC - The Association Of Settlement Companies and the IAPDA or the International Association of Professional Debt Arbitrators Legitimate debt settlement companies - - where to find their membership online: Better Business Bureau BBB www.bbb.org The Association Of Settlement Companies TASC www.tascsite.org USOBA www.usoba.org International Association of Professional Debt Arbitrators IAPDA www.iapda.org  -

Hi, it's not bad to rely on reviews, recommendations, ratings for your settlement company, however, the reviews are mixed. As always. Why not find one on your own? Here's how - When you give them a call, the debt settlement company should offer free consultation. They should not promise or guarantee that enrollment in their program would stop all collection calls. Observe their customer service, and ask about their negotiators - the company should have skilled, informed (current with the debt relief industry trends), certified, and personable.

Do not work with New Beginnings Debt Settlment, LLC. You could do the same thing on your own, why pay them 15% of what you owe to do something you can do yourself? I lost my money to these people !! You don't need them to save up money for 12-36 months, why not put the money yourself in a separate savings account and then start doing the settlement yourself? This is what I did and I even settled my debt for 25%, a lot less of what they say they can do for you. I decided to cut my losses and get out of the program and do it myself and it worked great!! Now, after I canceled I kept trying to call them to discuss a refund, and they would just ignore me. I wasn't asking for a total refund, just a partial one, but they didn't even want to listen to what I had to say. Oh well, I lost $2000 to them, but I could have lost more, that is, all the money you pay them in fees every month. You are basically paying them to save your money for you.
