what can you say about the christian debt consolidation scams?-- good thing you said scamS as in plural, because there are many outfits that carry the name christian debt consolidation scam in the hopes of baiting hapless debt ridden christians -- and because many christians are in debt and are very trusting, these scams thrive.

Just like politicians, the scammers have found a niche, in the "believers" territory. If a true Christian is looking for a legitimate debt consolidation company, that is run by legitimate Christians (word and deed), they would find it very challenging to weed through the true and fake ones. So I guess - the question here now is, how to find a legitimate christian debt consolidation company? Or ... just a legitimate debt consolidation company? And where?

When you say debt consolidation, do you mean credit counseling? If so, according to the BBB, -Before you select a credit counseling agency ask for information on the following: ::: -Are the agency services confidential? ::: -Will they devise a plan tailored to fit your needs? ::: -Are the counselors certified? ::: -Are budget and credit education opportunities offered? ::: -Will your funds be protected? How? ::: -Is the agency accredited? ::: -Aside from BBB membership (www.bbb.org) the consumer should also check its affiliation with the National Foundation for Credit Counseling http://www.nfcc.org.
