It's a little hard to research Safe Trust Financial, although I found their Facebook account, they started in 2004, and their FB has links to articles. This is their Company Overview: SafeTrust Financial specializes in debt settlement and loan modification. There is always a way to improve your financial position and we have the resources and the expertise to help. Their Products:Debt Settlement, Debt Negotiation, Loan Modification, Tax Resolution, Debt Consolidation (Management)..As to how credible and reliable they are, we are going to have to do more research.

We can't seem to reach a whole idea of Safe Trust Financial - if it's a good company or not, so I guess the next best thing to do is move on to what matters most, - what qualities to look for in debt settlement company.

Transparency, and you'd usually see this in their website (must have everything or the basic things you'd want to know about the program and the company). Great customer service (prompt response and know-how). Price (must be within the industry standard). Honesty (must look out for your best interest and not theirs) - must tell you if it's best for you to file bankruptcy. Money-back guarantee. Fast completion time.

-The settlement company's program must have a fast completion time. 12-36 months.-The program must be able to protect and improve the consumer's credit standing.-Must be a member of the Better Business Bureau, BBB, for at least 5 years.-Must also have a good standing with the Chamber of Commerce-A Member of TASC - The Association Of Settlement Companies and the IAPDA or theInternational Association of Professional Debt Arbitrators

The debt settlement company should offer free consultation. Not promise or guarantee that enrollment in their program would stop all collection calls. The company should have skilled, informed (current with the debt relief industry trends), certified, and personable.

If you're looking for a legitimate debt settlement company, destroydebt.com can match you up to the right one, just fill out a form here. It's free of charge. You can also go to the TASC members directory list and choose a company yourself. Good luck!
