hi, would you know anything about .. american debt relief initiative?-- Hey, and no, I don't know anything about them, but I looked it up for you, and came up with this: I'm just registering
a complaint about a mailing I received from this company, as I believe their envelopes and letter format
make their advertising appear to be something sent by the government. There is a very very tiny disclaimer at the bottom of the letter saying the "product or service has not been approved or endorsed by any government agency and the offer is not being made by any agency of the government."

American Debt Relief Initiative - I can't find anymore information about them, only that they are involved in deceptive practices. I've looked in the bbb and TASC - so I guess, forget about such companies, as there are other debt settlement companies out there, that have cleaner records.

I agree with Revived Paths, and I think that the next relevant question to ask is, how to find a good debt settlement company, what to look for in one? And where?

Destroydebt.com can match you up to a credible debt settlement company for free, just fill out a form here. You can also go to the TASC members site and list down some companies and call them one by one.
