what is it exactly? when did this whole settlement for credit card debt business start? is it worldwide? --- I'm not sure how the industry has started but it's gotten very popular during the recent economic recession. The debt settlement industry, at least, I heard has been around for more than 5 years (the reason why it's still largely unregulated). Is it worldwide? I don't think so -- I know that aside from the U.S. -- Canada and the U.K. have it too.
