Has anyone ever tried one of the debt consolidation/reduction products on the market? I recently saw an ad for Debt Wise, which apparently is a Debt Reduction product put out by Equifax. I didn't realize that any of the credit bureaus had such programs, but I guess it makes sense. Has anyone tried the Equifax Debt Wise product, or any debt consolidation/reduction product that has worked for them? I thought about tackling the debt on my own, but would prefer a more structured approach. Any feedback on your experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

There isn't a lexical definition of debt reduction products ... but it couldbe any of those books/software about debt reduction authored bydebt gurus and/or produced by an individual/groups from the credit/lendingindustries.

Basically these debt reduction products are debt reduction schemes/techniques/guidelines/plans/ideas/services made tangible.

Equifax Debt Wise product never heard about this, but I have some friends telling me that usually a settlement company will arrange for a free debt counseling session with you.
