What is the average credit card settlement?- Hi it depends on your creditor andthe circumstances surrounding your debt (like if you're experiencing hardship and such).Usually, creditors would much prefer it if they're able to collect on the full amount - butin certain situations they do settle - if you can come up with 75% of your total debtamount - there's a chance that they'd agree to settle.

Average credit card settlement (collection agencies) - I don't know the exact figures - but I heard that it's on the 35-75% range.

The average credit card debt settlement is not a science but a bunch of statistics.  Depending on your total debt you can be sure that some creditors/collectors will settle for a lower rate than others.  If you join a debt settlement program, including their fees and the amounts you pay back to your creditors you are looking at an average settlement rate between 40 to 60%.  To be realistic and keep it in t perspective if I were looking to settle my unsecured debt no matter what the balance, I know I would need at least 50% set aside to satisfy both the creditors and settlement program.
