Good question! Okay whether you are in Louisiana or not - when it comes to debt relief for credit card debt amounts of $10,000 and above, choose debt settlement. Anotherrequirement of which is that your accounts be past due or close to it. Why? Becauseoriginal creditors would much rather collect on the full amount than settle for less than that -but see after 5-6 months of non-payment, they are required to write off that debt -they loose profit - but since the business is all about money - they found a way tocollect at least a portion of that debt - by using a third party collection agency. Withcollection agencies, your chances of getting a settlement is high.
