Instead of consumer reports on debt relief companies - how about we give you a guideline as to what makes a debt relief company (either credit counseling agency ordebt settlement company) worth your money (?)

I agree with Castro, and okay for Credit Counseling Agencies (according to the BBB):-Before you select a credit counseling agency ask for information on the following:-Are the agency services confidential?-Will they devise a plan tailored to fit your needs?-Are the counselors certified?-Are budget and credit education opportunities offered?-Will your funds be protected? How?-Is the agency accredited?-Aside from BBB membership (www.bbb.org) the consumer should also check its affiliation with the National Foundation for Credit Counseling  http://www.nfcc.org.

RE: Hi can you discuss consumer reports  on debt relief companies? Thank you! For Debt Relief (Debt Settlement Companies): this is what you're to look for:-The settlement company's program must have a fast completion time. 12-36 months.-The program must be able to protect and improve the consumer's credit standing.-Must be a member of the Better Business Bureau, BBB, for at least 5 years.-Must also have a good standing with the Chamber of Commerce-A Member of TASC - The Association Of Settlement Companies and the IAPDA or theInternational Association of Professional Debt Arbitrators

consumer reports  on debt relief companies - how about what they think are  the factors you should consider in a debt relief company? -  Solutions.  Does the company only offer one debt relief solution? Or are they well-versed in a number of options? Having a variety of choices means they can find the right debt relief program that fits your specific needs. /Cost.  How does the debt relief company get paid? The best ones will earn their money from a percentage of what they save you; that way, they only get paid if you save money. /Dependability.  There are many fly-by-night debt relief organizations out there. How long has the company been in business? Are they affiliated with the BBB (Better Business Bureau)? Is this a company you can trust? ------ (from top consumer reviews)
