How to remove a collection mark on the credit report? - I agree, if it's not an error, you are goingto have to wait it out ..and if ever after 7 years it's not removed, you can have it cleaned -by writing the bureaus a letter disputing the errors.

How to remove a collection mark on the credit report?- after you have obtaineda copy of your credit report - listed down items to be disputed - wrote them a letter (an important thing: make sure everything is in writing & keep a copy of all correspondence)-mailed them out (registered) - wait for the bureaus to finish the investigation. The bureausare required by the law to finish within 30 days (can be extended to 45) - you're toreceive a notice of the results w/in 5 days - if youre correct they are to send you a copyof your amended report.
