Have you gone through credit counseling yet? May I ask why you're looking into debt consolidation in Seattle WA?

If you owe $10,000 or more in credit card - whether you are in Seattle WA or not - perhaps debt consolidation (credit counseling)  is not the right debt relief program for you. With a high debt amount like that - it might be better if you use debt settlement instead.A debt settlement program aims to reduce your entire balance to more or less half. Credit counseling would only help you manage your monthly payments via interestrates negotiation ...not that it's a bad thing, but I think credit counseling is better suitedto lower balances.

Hi Over U who's asking about debt consolidation in Seattle Wa - if you arelooking for a credit counseling agency - here's a guideline for you - (according to the BBB):-Before you select a credit counseling agency ask for information on the following:-Are the agency services confidential?-Will they devise a plan tailored to fit your needs?-Are the counselors certified?-Are budget and credit education opportunities offered?-Will your funds be protected? How?-Is the agency accredited?-Aside from BBB membership (www.bbb.org) the consumer should also check its affiliation with the National Foundation for Credit Counseling  http://www.nfcc.org.
