Can you negotiate those with the settlement company?

I'm not sure ... but you can ask for their fee structure. I'm sure it's installment, just ask for the terms I guess, and state what you can afford ...

The fee structure is 15% of the debt spread out over 18 months. Ask about their retainer fee and service fee.

Another one is, if it's the 20-25% settlement amount option - the settlement company might require a one time payment up front.

Never go with a company you cant find much info about.  Just my opinion.  Fees vary so you have to search around.

Lowest debt settlement fees ..might depend on your debt amount and the negotiation of that debt. The lower your debt amount the higher the fee...15% remember? But don't focus on the fees ... there's another thing that you have to know about debt settlement, and that is, it's taxable. If the forgiven amount is more than $600 that is. I'm not discouraging you from doing debt settlement -- I'm just saying that the road to freedom from debt is never easy -- so don't give up, also don't be fooled by some debt relief advertisements that have the slogan "quick and easy" -- avoid those companies. And if you have anymore questions, please feel free to fill out a form here at destroydebt.com - should you also decide to do debt settlement, destroydebt.com will match you up to a legitimate debt settlement company - free or charge. All the best to you;
