I'm sure there are programs for debt sponsored by the government ..my problem is, I don't know what they are...or where to read about them, can you maybe give examples or links? Thanks!

There are no debt relief programs by the government ..but there are assistance programs for low income families - for food, utility bills, and rent but..like a debt relief grant? I don't think so.You might want to read this:
