I'm sure you'll find a directory of debt expert in Philadelphia once you know what type of debt you want to eliminate. If for example, it is unsecured (credit card) depending on your debt amount, a program can be recommended you.If your problem is interest rates and your debt amount is below @10 000 try looking for a credit counseling company/If it is higher than $10 000 and your accounts past due, try debt settlement. If you have more questions, about debt settlement or credit - feel free to fill out a form and speak with a debt consultant for free.

If - however your debt problem has legal complications, then the debt expert that you're looking, for would be lawyers (that are licensed in Philadelphia). For example, you're being sued, and they don't want to settle...

You don't need a debt expert if your credit is good - you can just get a debt consolidation loan to pay off your debt - just be sure to shop around for the best deals. If your credit is good you won't be slapped higher than average interest rates, also if you have collateral.

Speaking of debt expert, whether you are in Philadelphia or not, here's what you should look forin debt relief company::::For Debt Settlement Companies:////-The settlement company's program must have a fast completion time. 12-36 months.-The program must be able to protect and improve the consumer's credit standing.-Must be a member of the Better Business Bureau, BBB, for at least 5 years.-Must also have a good standing with the Chamber of Commerce-A Member of TASC - The Association Of Settlement Companies and the IAPDA or theInternational Association of Professional Debt Arbitrators///For Credit Counseling Agencies (according to the BBB)://///-Before you select a credit counseling agency ask for information on the following:-Are the agency services confidential?-Will they devise a plan tailored to fit your needs?-Are the counselors certified?-Are budget and credit education opportunities offered?-Will your funds be protected? How?-Is the agency accredited?-Aside from BBB membership (www.bbb.org) the consumer should also check its affiliation with the National Foundation for Credit Counseling http://www.nfcc.org.
