What are the Government Assisted debt consolidation companies out there? Could you give me a listing so I can contact them?

I believe the only government assisted debt consolidation companies out there are only for federal student loans. That works by allowing the student or parent to consolidate their student loans into one payment, complete with having a lowered interest rate and one payment due each month. This only applies to federal student loans, FYI--a private and federal student loan cannot be consolidated into one.

Like for credit cards? There aren't any options available for other personal debts, I'm afraid. You have other options available for you, such as for-profit and non-profit debt consolidation. You can work with either credit counseling or debt settlement for your unsecured debts can be taken care of.

I don't think that
government assisted debt consolidation - exists
, other than bankruptcy of course. There are, however, loans, that you can try applying for here
