My debt sob story
Everyone's got one, but mine came about due to an addiction to gambling. I live 10 minutes away from a riverboat casino and no sooner did I receive my paycheck than I made a beeline to the boat. Not only would I blow my entire paycheck, I would max out all of my credit cards by taking cash advances.
All debt sucks, but nothing is worse than a debt with nothing to show for it. At least people that are living above their means have tangible property to show for their debt. I have a happy casino host :(
I guess it's true what they say, when you gamble you'll eventually lose no matter how good you are. I'm sorry for your loss, friend.
Sorry to hear that. I guess all the commercials about how the casinos will 'vitalize the economy and help the schools' isn't all true after all. ;-)
How are you doing now? Have you given up the gambling? Making any progress on paying off some of the debt?

I'd like to know as well. Are you making a turnaround? I hope you are.
Sorry to hear that.. Lesson learned.
i gamble a lot myself. i cant get that slot machine ringing out of my head when i sleep at night.
but self control is what i need:)
The best way to win in gambling is say no to temptation. It is a form of entertainment that comes with a price. The more you get entertained, the more you lose your money.

I guess I should have filled you in on the whole story. I took a self imposed ban from the riverboat casino. A lot of casinos offer this where you identify yourself as a problem gambler then take a self-imposed ban. The casino gets to look like they care when in actuality it saves them a liability risk from someone that begs for help and is ignored.
The problem is I found online gambling, and if you think the odds in the riverboat are bad they are horrid online. The only thing that is even remotely helping is the government crackdown on online gambling money processors. If you can't get your money to the offshore casino you can't gamble...
i am sorry to hear that.It is a ertainment which can make homeless.
I am so sorry to hear that. I hope you have found some help for it.
