my bill collectors offered me a low-interest payment plan for my credit cards... they said i didn't have to pay for late fees for 9 mos and my iterest would be lowered down... what they didn't tell me is that eveyrhing would to back to normal after the program was over.... it is very disappointing and now i have to pay a lot more... i shouldn't have worked with them in the first place...

what are the terms in a credit counseling payment plan for credit cards? There aren't specific terms, really--but what you will be doing if you're enrolled in a debt management plan is make one payment to your credit counseling agency. They in turn will distribute small payments to your creditors, as a means of paying off your accounts little by little. All in all the process takes five years to complete.Hope that answers your question.

In also choosing credit counseling DMP's as a payment plan for credit cards, your interest rates would be reduced to 15% and you stand a chance to not be charged with any fees.
