I tried looking for www.debtfreeassociates.com at the BBB listing, and apparently this debt settlement company is not accredited by the Bureau.

www.debtfreeassociates.com are members of the TASC or the Association of Debt Settlement Companies. I believe that would suffice for now; they may still be in the process of seeking out membership from the BBB.

It's hard to judge Debt Settlement companies based on their BBB rating.. there are a few articles on Credit.com about whyhttp://www.credit.com/news/experts/2009-03-12/settlement-companies-protest-better-business-bureau-rating-system.htmlhere is one of them explaining it a little bit.Just a heads up for anyone who is looking for information about companies but relying strictly on their BBB ratings.

I don't think all of the debt settlement companies that the BBB ratings have D's or F's. I believe it's all a matter of complying with the standards that the BBB has.
