How do you get relief from or get rid of credit card debt?I'm planning on getting married soon, I think it's unfair to my future wife to be worrying about these too someday.Help?

How do you get relief from or get rid of credit card debt? Are you in a hardship of some sort? If you are you can ask your creditors for their hardship program and do a d.i.y. debt settlement. If not, try credit counseling or debt settlement. How much is it that you owe?And good luck on your marriage!

How do you get relief from or get rid of credit card debt?Destiny is asking the amount you owe because that would determine which debt relief option is best for you.Credit counseling is for current accounts and balances that are less than $10,000 (you have to have steady income for 3-5 years for this)Debt settlement is for past due accounts and balances that are more than $10,000 (the program lasts for 12-36 months)

I think though that your wife to be is not going to be liable for your debts not unless you live in a community property state ...Also, please feel free to fill out a form here at destroydebt.com to get matched up to the right debt relief program/company for you.Good luck!

How do you get relief from or get rid of credit card debt?If you decide to do debt settlement d.i.y. - again your debt amount must be over $10,000 and if your accounts are past due - stop paying them for 6 months or so, until your account is passed on to a collection agency. You'd find out if it is when you start getting collection calls. The original creditors might not settle but the collection agency will - so make them an offer that you can afford - start with the lowest amount - perhaps 30% of your balance? Expect them to say no at first, take your time, until they say okay. If they do, never send out payments without the paper work. Document everything. All the best to you!

1. Talk to a loan officer and see about getting a loan to pay off your credit card debt. I did this recently with a few high interest things I had. As long as it's a loan through a bank, it should not hurt your credit (I asked before I did it). DO NOT go through a debt consolidation company. Most of these will hurt your credit and most will result in your accounts being closed. 2. I always recommend creating a budget and following it. If you don't want to get the loan, I would recommend, paying your minimum balance on all your cards, but your lowest one and concentrate on it. Once that's paid off, take that money and add it to the second lowest and so forth.
