When did you go into debt?

How long after you got your credit card(s) did you go into debt?

It only took me a few months then I was screwed. lol I paid it off a few months later but then I got into debt again. Still working on payments but there's more important things I need to pay for.

I still remember that I got into a very small debt within 5 months after I received my credit card. This was because I got some sort of freedom after I got my credit card and had a feling that I have got enough money to spend.

I went ito debt when I went into business as a real estate agent.  There were advertising expenses, gasoline expenses, seminars, etc., that I could not afford to pay up front.  Sadly, closings would sometimes fall apart, and then I couldn't pay off my credit cards as planned.  I sometimes found myself having to buy groceries and pay household expenses on credit because commission checks would be less than planned or a deal wouldn't go through.  This was the beginning of a long trip down Debt Road for me.

I did went to debt all time when i start a new by\usiness but we should know how to determine a good debt and a bad debt. If you use money to spend then that is a bad one, but if that is for a business then that is a good one. As long as you have a positive cashflow debt is manageable. And i assue you culd pay those creditor on time. In that way you could start a business without using your savings. And geta good credit rating to your loaners and could get another one again the next time you need one.
