Is there a Florida debt collection practices act? Or it is it applicable to the entire US in general? I want to know more about the rules pertaining to collection activity in my area... Thank you...

Is there a Florida debt collection practices act? Or it is it applicable to the entire US in general? The state of Florida, as far as I know, adheres to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act in general, which exists to promote fair and just debt collection practices in the US. The Act is enforced on third-party debt collection agencies only, but in the state of FL in particular, even first-party or in-house debt collections are also expected to comply with this law.

If that is the case, then what are the rules in the Florida debt collection practices act that creditors are expected to abide by?

what's a deadbeat list?

I think it's a list that lenders put up that show people who owe them money
