i have a huge amount of debt, roughly $23k in CC and i still have other bills. i lost my second job quite recently and my 1st job isn't enough to get my bills paid... i want to obtain freedom from debt in the soonest way possible...

I have heard that bankruptcy will help you achieve freedom for your debt, but I think most of the people here would disagree

Freedom from debt won't just be achieved by bankruptcy. Well, some of your debts may be discharged if you file, but it won't grant you the total freedom that you're looking for, because you are still obliged to pay for some debts even if you have filed.

Try paying everything off in full, if you can. If not, well, get a debt consolidation loan.
