There are debt reduction services around, but they are not for free, I'm afraid. What kind of debt are you trying to reduce, credit card debts?

Yes credit card debts, I think at some point I'm just not going to be able to keep up with the payments. You said debt reduction services that are not for free...but are they safe? How much are they charging?

There are debt free reduction services and not not free debt reduction services.

How much they'd cost?

Credit counseling is non-profit but their Debt Management Plan would cost around $25/mo. after the one time set up fee.

Debt settlement companies would charge 15% of your total debt amount -spread over 18 months or they will take between 20-25% of the settlement amount.

There are debt free reduction services and not not free debt reduction services. - are they safe?

Although the industry is largely still not regulated, there are accreditation and memberships to ensure that the consumers rights are upheld.

For debt settlement and credit counseling alike, there's always the Better Business Bureau. bbb.org. Accreditation from it is a big deal in the debt relief industry. They have, available for the consumers, ratings as well as record of complaints.
