I have been receiving calls from a certain 877-225-1118, which I have traced as the Allied Interstate phone number. It's been very unsightly to be honest and they are calling constantly about a person I do not know and have never heard of in my life. What can I do to stop this?

Yes, that indeed is the Allied Interstate phone number. The company in particular is notorious for violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and have received numerous complaints from consumers and non-consumers alike.

The company in itself has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau. In the past three years they've received a whopping 1,147 complaints, with 1,031 having to do with being unable to perform according to contract.

the number that i have posted above is the only Allied Interstate phone number that i know of. but they also do appear on my caller ID as well.so how can i get the calls to stop now?

surprisingly Allied Interstate does not have any government actions made against them, in spite of the FDCPA violations they have committed.Have you sent them a Cease and Desist letter, royale_flash? A verbal request to stop calls will not certainly help.
