what happens if i have an unsecured personal loan to pay and i am relocating to another country for good. can they chase me? Eg. moving from U.S. to Spain with $7,000 of debt.

Your creditors won't chase you, definitely. The most that they'll do is attempt to contact you and charge off your account after 180 days of non-payment.
