Hi! I do not think that there is a free credit counseling service in Michigan, or elsewhere for that matter. What is available, though, is a non-profit service that can help you.

Lurker's right, there isn't a free credit counseling service in Michigan. Then again even the non-profit companies who work around the states still charge fees

Anyone ever heard of Greenpath? Aren't they a free credit counseling service based in Michigan?

list of the Michigan licensed debt management firms. Got this list from the official web site of the state of Michigan, so this may be of help to you. You may also need to do some fact finding whether a certain company is a free credit counseling service Michigan or not.

Okay I did some research on Greenpath as a free credit counseling service Michigan--I see two Greenpaths on the BBB website, a Greenpath Inc and a Greenpath debt solutions. Are they one and the same company?

greenpath inc is not a free credit counseling service in michigan but they claim to be. i know they are non profit
