I noticed a previous discussion on Christian debt consolidators and I was wondering if the BBB has any companies that they approve of that are Christian in nature. Kindly post the list here. Thank you.

The BBB, as far as I know, actually warns against Christian debt consolidators due to their unfair and deceptive practices. They use the "Christian" name as a way to earn people's trust, only to abuse this degree of trust in the end.

Right. In 2002 the Better Business Bureau reported 1480 complaints, a huge difference compared to the 261 received complaints four years before that.

But isn't there a company called Christian Debt Consolidators? Has anyone heard of them or worked with them? Are they affiliated with the BBB?

Sarah: yes, there is a company called Christian Debt Consolidators. From the looks of it they have not been very faithful in complying with their agreements with their clients--this is per their rating with the BBB, compiled within the past 36 months.

Christian Debt Consolidators has received a C- from the BBB, due to numerous complaints received in the past three years as Lallypop has mentioned earlier. A large majority of these received complaints pertain to "agreeing to perform according to their contract." Another Christian debt relief company, Christian Debt Consultants LLP, has received an A rating from the Bureau. There are two listed complaints but no information in reference to the nature of these concerns.

How much would Christian debt consolidators approved by the BBB charge their clients? I mean the legitimate ones of course.
