Keep just one or two and faithfully pay your bills on time.I agree with that but wouldn't closing the other accounts reduce the credit score?Anyway, cut your spending and don't add to your debt anymore, until you're able to clear them. Change your spending and consumption habits.

Just to add to Do not add up or accumulate more debt:Don't use your credit card to make it to the next paycheck.Don't pay your credit card bills using your emergency fund/account.Avoid eating out or spending for entertainment. Watch your spending tendencies and change the bad/excessive habits.

If it's unsecured, you have - balance transfer, credit counseling, and debt settlement as your option.If it's secured, you have debt consolidation loan and bankruptcy - although you should really speak with a financial expert first, before doing those, as they could make matters worse for you.

Think of spending or charging on your card this way: it's money that you don't have. So don't spend it.
