How To Settle American Express Debt?

Need to know how to settle American Express debt before it gets any bigger. Do they accept settlements with debt settlement companies? Or should I do this with them myself? Thanks much!

Experiences with regard to settle debt with American Express have proved to be daunting. From what I have previously heard, they refuse to work with debt settlement companies. Can someone verify this please?

Yes, American Express refuses to work with debt settlement companies or individulas trying to settle their debt themselves. Your best course of action is to continue to make your payments, increase then(even a slight amount) if you can and then finally...cut up your card. Yes, it is hard, but true.

I have 3 American Express accounts. I have settled 2 of them. 1 @ 50% and the 2nd one @ 25% of the cost. I did save a lot of money. However, my 3rd account is not settled and I have a pending lawsuit unless I settle @ 70%. The 2 accounts above were settled with a debt settlement company.

American Express I believe will work with Debt Settlement companies.
It's a matter of what the Debt Settlement company says they are able to do. I know there are some companies that won't work with American Express Business cards but if it is for personal use then they are able to settle.
Your best bet is to shop around, do your research and talk to different DS companies and find out which one would work best for your specific financial situation.
