I have some credit companies calling at work and I honestly wish that they could stop from doing it! I might lose my job if they continue. And if that happens I won't pay for my bill AT ALL! This is getting really frustrating and I want to file a complaint against them

You can simply make credit companies calling at work to stop what they're doing by telling them that you no longer wish to receive phone calls at your workplace. They should honor that at the first request.

Take note that verbal requests only work for credit companies calling at work. In cases of calls at mobile phones and home phone numbers, a cease and desist letter is necessary to stop all calls.

Are the credit companies calling at work authorized to ask my boss or the receptionist about me and my information at work??? And will they tell them about my debt? Oh goodness I hope that DOES not happen

If credit companies calling at work did that to a debtor, that would be a major violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Debt collectors are prohibited by law from disclosing information to third parties that are not authorized by the debtor.

How soon will the credit companies calling at work stop contacting me when I tell them to? I am getting very concerned about this matter. I may end up getting fired because of this nonsense!
