Does this mean that they can no longer be trusted?

Credit Acceptance is a company that helps consumers re-establish their credit and according to Eric's post, class actions(?) were filed against it --something about being dishonest with its true financial situation.
I really don't know much.

To answer The Question:
Do consumers really need a company such as Credit Acceptance to rebuild their credit? Can't they do it on their own?
Rebuild their credit from? Bankruptcy, repo, or debt settlement? Does it matter?
I dont think its that necessary to ask for the services of companies like that. I think it's possible to rebuild credit d-i-y.

Is Credit Acceptance just a financier/lender or is it also a dealership of used cars? I'm reading some threads, and I'm still in a bit of a loop..

Credit Acceptance is composed of serial liars and criminal scumbags who call people they do not know asking to speak to total strangers. They do this for fun, because they have no life. They call back day after day, due to incorrect data in their databases.
Do you want to do business with thieves and liars? Then you can't go wrong with Credit Acceptance.
