One of the mortgage debt solutions that I know of is by speaking directly with your mortgage lender and ask for a payment arrangement with them. Of course this needs to be done as soon as possible. Just explain to them that you are currently going thru some sort of hardship and that you are willing to work out a payment plan with them. Some lenders may agree to do such an arrangement, until such time that you are able to get back on your feet again.Good luck!

As far as I know a secured debt, such as your mortgage, cannot be consolidated. HOwever unsecured debts such as your credit cards, medical loans, and other bills can be consolidated.

Would you consider bankruptcy as one of the mortgage debt solutions? I mean a foreclosure can be discharged if you file for banko right?

As far as I know--yes. Foreclosure can be stopped once you file for BK.I really wouldn't advise you to do that, though. Are you aware of its effects on your credit report?

You should ask the lender to give you some extended period to manage your fund or ask him for instalment concepts that will be more beneficial for you.
