How would you define what is a "quality" credit repair service?

Under the Credit Repair Organizations Act, a credit repair agency is not permitted to charge clients for their services at the onset of the application process. They are only allowed to receive the payment after the services have been fully completed. Also, their written agreement with the customer needs to specify the following:- company name and business address- payment terms and total amount of all services rendered- time frame of the service- the guarantees offered, if anySo I believe it is safe to assume then that compliance with these rules comprise what makes up a "quality" credit repair service agency. Hope that answers your question mei_mei.

Right, and aside from that, the credit repairing organization must inform the consumer of their rights in lieu of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Other than that, the CRO is strictly not allowed to commence with services if the consumer has not signed their contract. In addition, they need to wait at least three days before services are to ber performed. The three-day allowance period gives the consumer the freedom to cancel the contract. They will not be obliged to pay for any fees in the event that they decide to do so.

They are not authorized to do so if the information is negative but accurate. Only the passage of time will ensure the removal of your bankruptcies and repossessions. They cannot be removed from your credit report prematurely.

Yes, well done, I believe you may. Have you actually filed for bankruptcy? There are other options to that to get your tax debt taken care of...

Right, because you can actually get an Offer to Compromise from the IRS. Once you do that, you can be able to negotiate with them in reference to your tax debt. It may be settled for a one-time smaller payment. The thing is, it has lower chances of success and the IRS has certain requirements in order for a consumer to qualify for this agreement.
