If you can afford to pay I wonder why you're asking how to get your credit card debts forgiven...are you conducting a social experiment? Or just curious? Anyway, you can try to negotiate with your creditors, if your accounts are already past due, that is. Have your interest rates reduced or ask if it's possible to freeze them so you can chip away at your principle amount. You can also attempt to have the principle amount reduced, just like what the negotiators in a debt settlement company can do...Or better yet, enroll in a debt settlement program.

"How to get credit card debt forgiven"What is your definition of credit card debt forgiveness?Anyway you can wait for the Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility and Disclosure Act of 2009 to take effect early 2010 and avail of the following, especially the last one:-The credit card company can only increase the interest rate if the consumer's payment is 60 days late-Unless the consumer has asked for an over-limit fee, the creditors can't charge the consumer for it. Also, banks may not charge late fees if they were also late in crediting a payment.-Credit card companies may not market to people under the age of 21, without parental permission, or verification of their ability to pay.-Credit card companies must give the consumers 45 days before they can up the interest rates.-The consumer's payment must first be applied to the highest interest rate balance.

"how to get credit card debts forgiven?"When you say forgiven, did you mean, how to make credit card debts disappear as in charge off? Or how to negotiate credit card debts?

Perhaps by "how to get credit card debts forgiven?" he meant - how to negotiate or settle it.You have to first ask right? To be forgiven. Especially in the world of money, nobody would just forgive you, you have to ask. Even beg.

Fortunately for Freddie, he won't have to, if he enrolls in a debt settlement program, a professional debt negotiator would do that for him. But his total debt must be more than $10,000 and his accounts, past due.Speaking of which, if you would like to know more about how to settle your debt, feel free to fill out a form here at destroydebt.com and speak with a debt consultant, no charge.how to get credit card debts forgiven?"Get help.

To get a break on credit card debt you will need 40 -50% of the debt in cash.  You don't have to hire a credit card debt service.  Just stop paying your bill and wait up to a year.  The credit card company will eventually settle for cash, 40 -50% of debt.
