FreedomDebt.com a.k.a Debt Freedom Inc, according to the BBB,  has also " previously operated as Freedom Debt Relief."But isn't there another debt settlement company that's known as Freedom Debt Relief? Can somebody verify please?

There is a Freedom Debt Relief..which maybe was/is affiliated with FreedomDebt.com and it's also not accredited by the BBB and has an F rating. Fail again.

Hi not again, It's good that you signed in on here, at least now you know that FreedomDebt.com is pretty shady. If you or your friend needs advice with regards to your debt, feel free to fill out a form here at destroydebt.com and and consult with a debt expert. It is free of charge. If ever they recommend a debt relief company it would have a good standing with the BBB. Unlike FreedomDebt.com.Good luck!

If your friend is looking to eliminate unsecured debts, there are 2 debt relief options to choose from:Credit counseling (DMP)for debts amounting to $7,500 with high interest rates, it would probably cost you around $25-30/mo.Debt settlement for debts amounting to $10,000 and above (accounts past due), it would cost you 15% of the total debt amount or 20-25% of the the settlement amount.

Oh this is great you guys, thanks! How about with regards to credit? If my friend does debt settlement, how's this going to affect her credit score?

Hey, if your friend qualified for the settlement program it means that he/she is already past due, his/her credit is already bad. Here's a breakdown of the FICO score. See which segments are affected by debt settlement (account past due, has stopped paying the creditors and will continue to do so until enough amount has been saved..): -35% Payment History- 30% Amount Owed-15% Length of Credit History-10% New Credit -10% Types of Credit UsedA debt settlement appears on the credit report as "settled", "settled for less than the full balance", or "settled in full."

FreedomDebt.Com is one of Freedom Debt Relief (also known as Freedom Financial Network) websites. Fill out a form there and you will talk to someone at Freedom Debt Relief- same exact company.

FreedomDebt.com is not affilated with Freedom Debt Relief.  FreedomDebt.com places clients with Law Firms to negotiate debt. Also you will notice FreedomDebt.com has only 1 Resloved BBB complaint.  They are a large company and been in business since 2002. That is a great record. As far as their D rating, the BBB gives all such compaines a D or F rating regardless of how many complaints they have.
