I am interested to work with Delray Credit Counseling and I want to find out if they can be of help to me as a consumer. I think they seem to be a reputable company, but of course your expertise on this field matters more to me, so your input on this company would be of great help to decide if I will still work with them or not.Thank you for your time!

As per BBB reviews, Delray Credit Counseling has a C rating, with 88 complaints received from consumers within the last three years. Roughly 80% of the complaints they received dealt with "Agreeing to perform according to their contract."I would think twice if I were you, Warrior Woman.

Is Delray Credit Counseling affiliated with any other organization? I can't seem to check this information.

Delray Credit Counseling is affiliated with the National Association of Certified Credit Counselors. According to their official website, they are "a non-profit, credentialing body that oversees the education and certification requirements of its members."

They're also members of the AADMO, or the American Association of Debt Management Organizations

For the past 4 years I've been paying off my credit cards through Delray CC. In the beginning they asked for a deposit of $475 (a one month payment) upfront to get everything started, which I paid. Origninally I was told that this money could be used as my last payment or since they were non-profit, it could be donated to them. When that time came and I wanted to use my deposit ($475) to payment my last credit card payment, Delray said that the rules had changed and it couldn't be used as a last payment, but it would be refunded to me within 30 days following my final credit card payment, which was in June. I have called several times requesting my refund and have been told it would be paid within 30 days or that they don't know what the hold up is, but they (the Delray customer service rep. - and I use that term loosely) would look into it or the request was put in for the refund. As of August 23, 2009, I still am waiting for my refund. DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY.
