Posted on August 12, 2009 at 11:02 am Was surprised when  I came upon a site with Fingerhut Mastercard back in action. I remember years ago friends of mine would order from their mail-order catalogue and would pay monthly for the items. Later they were issued a Fingerhut Mastercard. This was in 1995. Do anyone remember what bank issued the Fingerhut Mastercard in that year, or did Fingerhut have their own bank. Friends said that company went out of business, but it is back in action.

Posted on August 12, 2009 at 11:31 am It is actually Axsys National Bank that issues Fingerhut mastercards. They are a small bank located in South Dakota if I am not mistaken.

Posted on August 12, 2009 at 12:08 pm Funny coming across this post.  Fingerhut was one of the debts that I attemoted to clear years ago.  I made a good faith effort, but never received one phone call and or letter from them or their collection agency.  I fought with the credit bureaus to get it off my credit report.  I finally got it off my credit report because they failed to respond to inquiry.  I got a letter from them right after the SOL ran out, and I politely informed them that they needed to send me a formal document with a settlement amount.  To this date, nothing. Morale of the story - do not do business with them - they were one of my past stupid mistakes!

Posted on August 18, 2009 at 2:44 pm Thank-you for that information about the bank that issued the Fingerhut Mastercard. It was also a stupid mistake of mine doing business with them also. They are the reason for all of my problems. It started with them.
